![]() Crustpunk, sludge/stoner rock, speed metal, hardcore, power violence etc. I have grown up in this scene of music, playing, touring etc, and it will always be important to me. I listen to soft rock like pink floyd etc, as well as very heavy music, which is what makes up a predominant amount of my record collection. I enjoy arco bass and cello work, as i am a bassist myself. I listen to some classical, however when i do, it is usually wooden-string heavy instruments lead. When i listen to these things i love transparency and a feeling as if they are in the room, of course. ![]() I enjoy jazz, i enjoy female vocal driven music. I will be rather detailed in my music listening. I prefer the presentation of sound found on record if it was recorded properly. I also listen to digital in the form of files, and CD. Yes, the cornwalls WILL be placed against walls (which help them with lows). ![]() I have a large 13" sub as well, that can stay in the path to handle the lows, but if i find that i do NOT need it with the 34Hz ability of the cornwalls, i will remove it from my setup. So 102db obviously enabling the ability to be properly driven by SET or push pull. ![]() I will be picking up a 60's pair of vertical cornwalls soon. Anyhow, I am now debating on my amp selection and would like a bit of advice from those who are familiarized with the pro's and con's and audible characteristics of both 300b/845/211 etc based SET amps, and 'generally' higher wattage push-pull designs. I have recently decided to switch things over to a tube driven setup, for a few reasons. I apologize for the long post before hand. ![]()
